Chelsea and Strasbourg Fans Stage Joint Protests Against BlueCo Management
Football clubs managed by the BlueCo group are experiencing joint protests from Chelsea and Strasbourg fans, expressing their dissatisfaction with the group's management and its multi-club ownership model.
In England, a group of Chelsea supporters announced a "peaceful demonstration" on January 17, to take place during their team's match against Brentford at Stamford Bridge. The group stated: "We could have accepted all of this in the first year of the project, not in the fourth year." This protest follows the dismissal of coach Enzo Maresca on January 1, making him the fourth manager to be sacked in less than four years under Todd Boehly's ownership.
In France, Strasbourg fans have long criticized BlueCo's management. The "Ultra Boys 90" group condemned the multi-club ownership model, describing it as "a reckless rush where Chelsea leads the club at the expense of Strasbourg's independence," despite an investment exceeding 100 million euros.
Fan anger escalated in mid-September with the announcement of team captain Emanuel Emegha's transfer to Chelsea for the upcoming season. On October 5, during the team's dominant 5-0 victory against Angers, banners were displayed with messages including "BlueCo out."
