Tarik Sektioui, coach of the Moroccan national reserve team, affirmed that Arab and African coaches are no less competent than their European or Latin American counterparts. He stressed the necessity of changing the perception of national coaches and abandoning the inferiority complex that has been ingrained in the Arab world for years. Sektioui praised Morocco's experience over the past fifteen years, which has solidified the position of national coaches and proven the success of investing in training and infrastructure.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Sektioui stated: "What prevents an Arab or African coach from reaching the same level as a European or Latin American coach? We are the ones who must change our perspective, because the real difference lies in diligence, intelligence, and love for the profession."

He added: "In Morocco, there is a mindset established by His Majesty the King 15 years ago. The keys were given to Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, who worked with great love for the nation, alongside individuals who operated with high professionalism. This has begun to bear fruit in training, coaching, and facilities, to the extent that Moroccan football has become a source of pride for Arabs and Africans."

Sektioui continued: "Today, it has been confirmed that the Moroccan coach holds a global standing. We must change our perspective and avoid underestimating the capabilities of our coaches, or giving opportunities to others simply because we believe they are better."

He further stated: "As Arabs, we must rid ourselves of the colonial mindset that is still ingrained in some minds, and we must grant trust to the national coach, because they have proven capable of achieving success."

The match between the Moroccan and Omani national teams will take place tomorrow, Friday, starting at 3:30 PM Moroccan time, as part of the second round of the group stage of the Arab Cup.
