Newly promoted Sunderland continued their impressive run in the Premier League this season, securing a thrilling 3-2 victory over visitors Bournemouth today. The win came after Sunderland had initially fallen behind by two goals to nil in their Matchday 13 encounter.
The hosts started the match poorly at the Stadium of Light, conceding in the 7th minute when Moroccan international Amine Adli scored Bournemouth's opener. This was followed by a second goal from midfield, netted by American Tyler Adams, who capitalized on goalkeeper Robin Raafs being off his line.
Sunderland began their comeback when Enzo Le Fée successfully converted a penalty in the 30th minute, reducing the deficit. Immediately after the start of the second half, Bertrand Traoré found the equalizer in the 46th minute. Brian Brobbey then completed the remarkable turnaround, scoring the third goal in the 69th minute.
