El Ainaoui Continues to Shine with Assist in Roma's 3-1 Victory Over Cremonese in Serie A

Moroccan international Nael El Ainaoui delivered a standout performance in Roma's 3-1 away victory over Cremonese on Sunday, in Week 12 of the Italian Serie A. El Ainaoui provided a crucial assist for the second goal, instrumental in the capital club's temporary return to the top of the Serie A standings.

Roma, aiming for their first league title since 2001, entered the match with their sights set on the top spot. They successfully ended the first half with a lead thanks to Argentine Matias Soulé's goal from outside the box in the 17th minute. A second goal by Lorenzo Pellegrini was later disallowed after a VAR review for offside.

In the second half, Roma maintained their composure. El Ainaoui received the ball in the final third of the pitch and intelligently passed it into the penalty area to substitute Irish forward Evan Ferguson, who made no mistake, slotting it precisely into the net in the 64th minute, giving his team a comfortable 2-0 advantage.

Roma further asserted control over the game, securing their third goal through Brazilian Wesley França in the 69th minute. França capitalized on a brilliant individual run from the left flank, assisted by Stephan El Shaarawy.

Cremonese attempted to mount a comeback but could only manage to reduce the deficit in stoppage time with a header from Francesco Volino (90+3). This late goal did not affect Roma's valuable victory, which saw them climb to 27 points at the top of the table, two points clear of Napoli and three ahead of Inter, who are set to face AC Milan in the upcoming Milan derby.
