Officially: Tunisian Lassaad Chabbi Appointed New Coach of Bahrain's Al-Khaldiya

Bahraini club Al-Khaldiya has officially announced the appointment of Tunisian coach Lassaad Chabbi to lead the first team. He replaces Ali Ashour, whose contract was terminated by mutual consent.

The Bahraini club did not disclose the financial details or the duration of the contract linking them with the Tunisian coach, Lassaad Jarda Chabbi, whose previous contract with Raja Casablanca was also terminated by mutual consent.

Al-Khaldiya currently sits at the top of the Bahraini League standings, level on points with Al-Malkiya after seven rounds. They also hold second place in Group B of the AFC Champions League Two.

It is worth noting that Lassaad Chabbi has previously coached US Monastir, Etoile du Sahel, and Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi. He also led "the Green Team" (Raja Casablanca) to win both the CAF Confederation Cup and the Mohammed VI Champions Cup.
