Dortmund Star Adeyemi Fined €450,000 for 'Weapon Possession'

Borussia Dortmund player Karim Adeyemi was issued a criminal order a few weeks ago for illegal weapon possession, according to a report by German newspaper Bild.

The newspaper's investigation revealed that during a search, police found prohibited items in Adeyemi's possession: a brass knuckle and a taser device.

German law prohibits the possession or carrying of such items. Penalties for these offenses range from fines to imprisonment for up to three years, potentially extending to ten years if a brass knuckle is used.

The Public Prosecutor's Office in Hagen opted to issue a criminal order in the case. The Borussia Dortmund winger is required to pay €450,000 to the public treasury. This sum will be paid in installments of €7,500 per day over 60 days, in exchange for exemption from imprisonment and further criminal proceedings. The amount was calculated based on his net income. Adeyemi will be registered in the central federal register but will not be considered a criminal convict.

Adeyemi himself has not commented on the matter at the time of publication. His lawyer stated an inability to respond within the media's specified deadline, adding that the accusations stem from a "mysterious box" ordered via TikTok, without providing further details.
