
Belaârouch: "We Vowed to Fight, and Thank God for Penalty Shootout Success"
Shuaib Belaârouch expressed his delight at qualifying for the Round of 16 of the U-17 World Cup, following a 4-3 penalty shootout victory over the United States.
In post-match press statements, Belaârouch said: "I thank the players, our coach, the staff, our families, and the fans who supported us."
He added: "The match was not easy, and we managed to equalize in the final minutes. Thankfully, God made it easy for us in the penalty shootout. We said we would fight until the last minute on the field, and thank God, we leveled the score and qualified."
Belaârouch was the hero, successfully saving the final penalty taken by the American team. His crucial save propelled the national squad into the U-17 World Cup Round of 16, after the regular ninety minutes ended in a 1-1 draw.
