Ait Boudlal: "My Call-Up Was Not a Surprise Because Regragui Has Been Communicating With Me for a While"
Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, a player for the Moroccan national team, expressed his immense happiness at joining the Atlas Lions' training camp in preparation for two friendly matches against Mozambique and Uganda. He emphasized that this opportunity is due, after God, to the trust the national coach has placed in him for some time.
Speaking to the official website of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Boudlal stated: "I am happy with this call-up, which was not a surprise. The coach has been communicating with me for a while, after every match I play, regardless of whether my performance was good or not."
The Stade Rennais defender added: "Regragui always encouraged me, pointed out my mistakes, and highlighted the good things, which gave me great self-confidence."
He further explained: "This kind of communication pushes me to work harder and develop my level so that I am ready for every match. The group here is fantastic, comprising great players who treat me like a family member and help me integrate quickly."
The Atlas Lions are set to face Mozambique next Friday, followed by a match against Uganda on Tuesday, November 18, at the Grand Stadium in Tangier, kicking off at 8:00 PM (GMT+1).
