Raja Beni Mellal Football Club has expressed its strong dissatisfaction with the refereeing performance during its recent match against Wydad Fes, part of the seventh round of the Professional League – National Division Two. The club, whose match was officiated by referee Adel Benlghouilia, believes that the refereeing decisions directly impacted the outcome of the game and the principle of fair play.

In an official statement, the club clarified that in the 34th minute of the first half, the referee overlooked a clear handball inside the penalty area, which should have resulted in a penalty kick for the team. Furthermore, Raja Beni Mellal was denied a legitimate goal in the 66th minute when the ball clearly crossed the goal line after a powerful shot struck the crossbar, yet the referee did not award the goal.

The statement asserted that these incidents are no longer isolated judgment errors but have become a "worrying phenomenon" that demands urgent intervention from the relevant authorities. The club emphasized the necessity of a comprehensive and responsible investigation by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the National Directorate of Refereeing, urging them to take appropriate measures to guarantee refereeing justice.

The club also called for stricter criteria in the selection and evaluation of referees to reinforce the principle of equal opportunities among all clubs. While reaffirming its trust in national football institutions, Raja Beni Mellal stressed that it would not stand idly by in the face of any injustice that might harm its interests or compromise the integrity of the league.

The club concluded its statement by affirming its unwavering commitment to "the spirit of fair competition and respect for institutions." However, it firmly rejects being a victim of repeated refereeing errors that undermine the efforts of its players and management and negatively impact its sporting trajectory.
