Ittihad Tanger Secures First Professional League Win, Defeating Renaissance Berkane 1-0 Despite Being Down to Ten Men

Ittihad Tanger secured a 1-0 victory over Renaissance Berkane in their match on Sunday, part of matchday eight of the "Inwi" Professional League.

The first half of the encounter, held at the "Sporting Village" stadium in Tangier, remained goalless as both teams failed to break the deadlock.

Following halftime, the referee issued a red card to Ittihad Tanger's Anas El Morabit in the 58th minute. Despite being reduced to ten men, the home side managed to score the winning goal in the 74th minute, courtesy of Papa Maguette Gueye.

This result brings Ittihad Tanger's points total to 8, marking their first victory in the Professional League this season. Renaissance Berkane, meanwhile, remains in sixth place with 11 points.
