Corinthians Asks Depay to Vacate Luxury Hotel Due to Exorbitant Costs: €40,000 Per Month!
Brazilian club Corinthians is facing significant economic difficulties, prompting them to ask player Memphis Depay to vacate his hotel suite and seek a less expensive alternative.
According to Brazilian newspaper "UOL," the monthly rent for Depay's hotel suite is €40,000, with the Brazilian club responsible for covering all associated expenses.
These expenses include room service, cleaning, a private chef, a security guard, and a car with a private driver. The newspaper indicates that Corinthians' management anticipates significant difficulty in reaching an agreement with Depay regarding his departure from the suite, as the contract between the two parties stipulates these rights, and the player is unwilling to relinquish them.
The former Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, and Olympique Lyon player signed a contract worth €11 million annually, a sum that could rise to €19 million based on various clauses. It remains unclear whether Depay will vacate his suite located in central São Paulo, as the Brazilian club's debts have reached significant levels, leaving them with no option but to make this eviction request.
