Aboub: "A Difficult Match Awaits Against Wydad, I Apologize to Our Fans for Negative Results"
Zakaria Aboub, coach of Olympique Safi, expressed his regret to the team's fans following their 2-1 loss to Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi in a postponed match from the sixth round of the Professional League.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Aboub stated: "First, I would like to apologize to our great fans for the negative results. We had hoped to secure all three points, as they would have provided the team with motivation, confidence, and stability."
The coach added that the pressure of consecutive matches did not allow the team sufficient time for psychological and tactical preparation. He noted that the players had not received enough rest, which impacted their physical performance, particularly in the second half of the match.
Aboub affirmed that the team is working on improving physical fitness, enhancing technical and tactical discipline, and instilling self-confidence in the players to ensure they perform at their best in upcoming competitions. He stressed that this requires patience and perseverance from everyone involved: the players, the staff, and the fans.
Regarding upcoming matches, especially against Wydad, the coach said: "A difficult match awaits us next Sunday against Wydad. We need to prepare well and focus on every technical and physical detail to achieve a positive result. The team needs time to build cohesion, and with patience and hard work, we will be able to achieve the desired outcomes."
Aboub concluded his statement by saying: "On behalf of the players, I apologize to the Safi fans. I ask everyone for patience and continued support for the team. Your presence and encouragement give the players great strength and motivation, and we hope to achieve positive results and bring joy to our large fanbase in the upcoming matches."
