Aguerd Returns to Marseille Squad for Atalanta Champions League Clash After Injury

Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd has been included in Olympique Marseille's squad for their UEFA Champions League Matchday 4 encounter against Italian side Atalanta this Wednesday evening. His return comes after he missed the previous match against Auxerre due to injury.

Marseille had announced last Saturday that Aguerd was withdrawn from their starting lineup just moments before their 1-0 defeat to Auxerre.

Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi provided an update on the Moroccan defender's condition during the post-match press conference, stating: "Regarding Aguerd, he had been experiencing discomfort in his hip for several days. He expressed his readiness to play, but during the warm-up, it became clear that it wasn't possible."
