Tanzania Sacks National Coach, Appoints Gamondi as Interim Successor Less Than Two Months Before AFCON
The Tanzanian Football Federation (TFF) announced today, Tuesday, the termination of the contract of its national team coach, Hemed Suleiman "Morocco," by mutual consent. This decision followed a joint evaluation of the team's performance and its preparations for upcoming competitions.
Consequently, coach Miguel Gamondi, currently the technical director of Singida Black Stars, has been appointed as the interim coach for the Tanzanian national team. The TFF clarified in an official statement that negotiations with Singida Black Stars regarding Gamondi's new role had already concluded, with all necessary details agreed upon.
Gamondi will lead the national team in the Africa Cup of Nations finals, which are scheduled to take place in Morocco, starting next December. Both the federation and the fans are hopeful for positive results.
