PSG Player Faces Potential Denmark Entry Ban for Dangerous Driving
Paris Saint-Germain player Yoram Zaghi is set to appear before the Frederiksberg Court near Copenhagen, Denmark, on Monday, April 20. He faces charges of dangerous high-speed driving stemming from an incident last December. While the player has admitted to the facts, the court's decision is pending in a case that has garnered significant attention in Danish sports circles.
The incident occurred on December 21, 2025, when the young defender was caught driving at 104 kilometers per hour on Sjællandsbroen bridge, an area with a speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour. Based on this information, Danish media reports indicate that the public prosecutor will seek a permanent revocation of Zaghi's driving license. The prosecution also aims to obtain a conditional entry ban for Zaghi into Denmark following this serious legal transgression.
The 19-year-old defender is a Paris Saint-Germain player who had a loan spell with Danish club FC Copenhagen before later moving to KAS Eupen, which competes in the Belgian second division. During his time with the Danish team, Zaghi participated in 15 matches across various competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist. It is worth noting that FC Copenhagen had informed the player of their decision not to retain his services prior to the aforementioned traffic incident.
In his international career, Zaghi represented France's U19 national team in 11 matches, scoring one goal. He is currently on loan at KAS Eupen, a club owned by Qatar Sports Investments. These legal developments cast a shadow over the young player's future, as he faces legal consequences that could impact his professional career, especially with the public prosecutor demanding strict restrictions on his presence and movement in the future.
