Ismaily Threatens Withdrawal from Egyptian League Over Refereeing
Ismaily Club has threatened to withdraw from the Egyptian League, protesting against numerous refereeing decisions made against them.
The club stated in an official communiqué: "Ismaily Club has submitted an official protest objecting to the systematic and deliberate refereeing errors our football team has been subjected to in recent matches, as attested by numerous critics and analysts in the league competition. This has negatively impacted the team's results and its position in the standings."
It continued: "The grievance includes specific demands addressed to the Egyptian Football Association, the Clubs Association, and the Referees Committee. The club affirmed that should these demands not be met, it reserves the right to take whatever action it deems appropriate to protect its interests and rights, including the option of officially withdrawing from the league competition and not completing it, in order to safeguard the rights of the club and its fans."
It is worth noting that Egyptian club Ismaily currently occupies the last position in the local league standings with only 14 points.
