Desire Doué Denies Being Target of Dembélé's Comments on PSG Individualism
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, player Desire Doué stated that he did not feel targeted by recent comments made by his teammate Ousmane Dembélé. These remarks addressed the issue of individualism within the Paris Saint-Germain squad and followed the team's 3-1 defeat to Rennes on February 13.
Social media speculation had suggested that Doué was the intended recipient of Dembélé's criticism, which emphasized the importance of playing for the club first. In response, Doué affirmed, “I didn’t feel targeted,” thereby refuting the circulating rumors.
Furthermore, Doué stressed the right of team leaders to express their opinions, especially during crucial moments and after defeats. He explained, “Leaders have the right to speak and must do so at certain moments,” adding that Desire Doué and Ousmane Dembélé share the same professional circle and maintain very good relations.
